Behind ThePentestLab
My cybersecurity journey,
one step at a time.
A place to document what I learn, share practical notes and help beginners find their starting point.
Why I built this website
I am building my knowledge in cybersecurity and documenting the journey through ThePentestLab. This website brings my study notes, useful resources and practical learning together in one place.
My goal is simple: when a beginner visits this website, they should understand where to start and what to explore next. That is why the learning sections begin with networking, Linux and web security.
As I study and practice, I will add explanations, lab write-ups and reflections on what I learn. This website will grow alongside my skills.
What you will find here
Study notes
Topic-by-topic explanations of networking, Linux, web security and other foundations.
Explore tutorials →Lab learning
My approach, practical lessons and original write-ups from eligible practice labs.
Browse lab write-ups →Articles & reflections
Beginner questions, cybersecurity updates and reflections from my learning journey.
Visit the blog →My learning goals
I want to build strong foundations, become more comfortable with practical security work and document my preparation as I explore these certification paths.
These are study interests, not a claim of completed certifications.
How I learn and share
-
Understand the basics
Break larger subjects into smaller topics and explain them in clear language.
-
Practice with permission
Use my own environment or authorized labs, and follow each platform's publishing rules.
-
Explain the reasoning
Share why an approach works, what went wrong and what the exercise taught me.
-
Keep improving the notes
Add sources, revisit explanations and correct mistakes as my understanding develops.
